The Benson Bulletin is available in an audio, or “talking”, version each month. These audio files are available on our website (since the September 2011 issue). Click on the ‘Audio Version’ link associated with the issue of the Benson Bulletin to play the MP3 files via your media player.
The audio version is also available on memory stick which is distributed monthly for those without access to the internet. This service is free to anyone who has difficulty in reading the printed version for whatever reason. This facility is an extension of the Wallingford Talking Newspaper initiative.
To listen to the digital recording, each listener will be provided with a special “player” which is approximately the size of a portable radio. Someone will visit the new listener to demonstrate how the player works and how the monthly recordings are delivered. It really is very simple and straightforward. A number of people are already receiving their monthly talking Benson Bulletin.
After listening, the sticks are returned to BB in the freepost wallet provided – ready for us to record the next issue.
If you – or someone you know – would benefit from receiving a monthly recording of the Benson Bulletin, please contact Keith Tibbs (contact number and email address below).
We would like to make them available to more people who could benefit. So please do get in touch.
